about
The Metuchen-Edison Assistance League aims to ensure that all residents of Metuchen and Edison have access to healthful, familiar food at all times and that assistance providers build, leverage and share support equitably in a collaborative, coordinated way.
The Metuchen-Edison Assistance League was established under the umbrella of MCFOODS to provide a means for food pantries and community soup kitchens throughout Metuchen and Edison, New Jersey to share information, coordinate their activities and obtain the support of both municipal administrations to best meet the needs of their clients. MCFOODS is a collaboration of many partnerships working together to end hunger. Local governments, nonprofit agencies, community food pantries, food banks, soup kitchens. social service organizations, businesses, schools and houses of worship all work together through the MCFOODS Network to help achieve our mission. The MEAL Coalition also serves as a collaborative that links its members and communicates their activities and other resources to their clients and supporters.
We are a collection of representatives from food pantries, food banks, and other organizations committed to ending hunger in Metuchen and Edison.
