The Metuchen-Edison Assistance League is a coalition of food pantry and soup kitchen representatives that addresses the issue of improving client services. We would like to expand to include organizations that also serve communities who are struggling with food insecurity such as social workers, multicultural orgs, other faith based organizations, SNAPS representatives, homeless shelter coordinators and more. Each service provider designates one or more representatives to attend meetings. Representatives are responsible for having a substitute attend a meeting when necessary. Members work as a group to accomplish the League goals and act in accordance with its mission.
